Stockton Volunteering Partnership

Stockton Volunteers believes in providing the best environment to facilitate volunteering in the Borough of Stockton-on-Tees. To that end Stockton Volunteers hosts quarterly forum meetings where volunteer involved organisations (VIOs) come together to discuss, debate, learn and network.

A list of previous Partnership meetings:

Stockton Volunteering Partnership April 2018

The meeting was held at 10:00 – 13:00, 19th April 2018 at the Stockton Watersports Centre, North Shore.

This Stockton Volunteering Partnership focused on how GDPR would affect charities and volunteering, with an excellent presentation from Kevin McConnell of Bondgate IT.

Lesley Makin introduced the proposed process and paperwork for the Stockton Volunteering Kitemark and hosted a discussion on how the Kitemark will work and what kind of improvements Volunteer Involved Organisations from the Borough would like to see.

Victoria Richards of Jacobs visited the Partnership to talk about Social Action from the point of view of a large company, and to share ideas and information on how Jacobs’ staff could get involved.

The event ended with a delightful networking lunch in the sunshine overlooking the River Tees.
