Hand In Hand Activities CIC is a North East community organisation supporting people living with dementia, people living with long-term health conditions, unpaid carers and older people to stay active, connected and involved in their communities.
We provide a range of community-based activities and opportunities designed to reduce isolation, support wellbeing and bring people together.
Hand In Hand Activities CIC runs the Stockton-on-Tees Chapter of Cycling Without Age. Using Trixie, our specially designed electric-assist trishaw, our trained volunteer Pilots help care home residents and other members of the community get outdoors, enjoy the local area and experience the simple pleasure of a bike ride and good company.
Alongside our regular work with care homes, we work with community groups and take part in local events and activities, helping make cycling and the outdoors accessible to people who may otherwise find it difficult to take part.
