Family Action Perinatal Support Service

Description

Stockton Perinatal Support Service provides emotional support to families where a parent is struggling with their emotional health or wellbeing during  pregnancy and the first 2 years after birth. The Perinatal Support Service is for parents who have, or are at significant risk of developing, mild to moderate mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression. We provide support to parents by providing a Perinatal Coordinator, Support Worker or trained volunteer ‘peer supporter’ who can offer emotional support and help to access services in your local community. We can support parents throughout pregnancy and up until their baby’s second birthday. We support families according to their needs and situation. We listen to individual family needs and provide emotional and practical support to improve outcomes for the whole family.
