Youth Volunteer

The A Way-Out Youth Team work with
vulnerable young people aged 8-16, in both Primary & Secondary school
settings, in areas of high deprivation. The young people we work with have a
range of difficulties such as lack of positive role models, lack of positive
relationships & many are isolated. The youth teams focus is delivering prevention-based
work to help these children as the grow and develop ensuring they are equipped
with important knowledge and skills to help them on their way

The Youth Team delivery targeted 6-week
programmes to the young people, covering a range of topics such as healthy relationships,
safety planning & online safety in a fun and informative way. We also work
with children on a 1-1 basis if we feel this is more appropriate to their
needs. The Youth volunteer will become part of our team of youth workers,
helping to support these children, deliver important messages through our
programme and be a positive role model. You will join a small team working
towards defined project outcomes.
