Middlesbrough Mela is a large multi-cultural festival which takes place in Albert Park every year. It attracts up to 60,000 people from across Tees Valley and beyond, to enjoy the diverse music, dance, theatre and food on offer. This year’s festival will be on 15 and 16 August 2026.
We are looking for volunteers to help on Friday evening to set the event up, and Sunday evening to close down. We could also do with people on the Saturday and Sunday to act as hosts, litter-pickers, photographers (with their own camera) and do ask people about their experience of Mela in a survey.
