Description

Help to process food donations by sorting items, date checking, and storing in the warehouse

Warehouse

  • Ensure incoming stock is checked, weighed, and recorded
  • Sort food by date and type, removing any items that are damaged or out of date, and weighing these out separately.
  • Keep the warehouse area clean and tidy.
  • Prepare stock orders for the foodbank centres.
  • Undertake some lifting (ask for help when lifting)

Ability to read and write

  • Organised and self-motivated
  • Happy to learn new skills
  • Happy to work as part of a small team

  • Have an eye for detail
  • Able to do some heavy lifting or able to ask for help when lifting
  • Able to read instructions and write down information
  • Undertake training if required e.g. manual handling
