Are you friendly, driven and approachable?

Norton Sports Charity and Norton Sports and Leisure CIC are looking for a Trustee Director to join our existing team of Directors on a voluntary basis.

Norton Sports Charity and Norton Sports and Leisure CIC.

Some duties include

  1. Being supportive of values and ethics of the organisation including Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
  2. Supporting the aims of the charity as laid out in the governing documents and strategic plan.
  3. To protect and manage the assets of the CIC.
  4. Being constructive towards the opinions of other trustees and in response to staff members.
  5. Being committed to the purpose, objectives, and values of the CIC

  1. Leading discussions.
  2. Being able to make collective decisions and stand by them.
  3. Being able to act reasonably and responsibly when undertaking duties and performing task.
  4. Understanding the importance and purpose of meetings, and being committed to prepare for them adequately and attending them regularly.
  5. Good, independent judgement.

Your personal qualities should include

  1. Ability to think creatively.
  2. Willingness to speak their mind.
  3. Understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of directorship.
  4. Ability to work effectively as a member of a team • Commitment to the CIC and its objectives.
  5. Willingness to devote the necessary time and effort to be able to make an active and effective
    contribution to the CIC.
