Time Requirement:  Half a day per week starting asap (Campaign support required September – January)

Role Summary:

This Christmas, Teesside Hospice is inviting schools to take part in the Rudolph Run – a festive, fun-filled fundraising activity that gets children moving while raising vital funds to support local families spending their last Christmas together. From short runs and rambles to obstacle courses and themed PE lessons, each school creates their own Rudolph Run, making it a unique and joyful event for pupils. Volunteers will support the delivery of the Rudolph Run campaign by engaging with schools, encouraging participation, and helping to create magical, memorable experiences for children and staff.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Events and Fundraising Team with campaign organisation and school outreach.
  • Helping to distribute campaign packs, including reindeer noses, antlers, and sponsorship forms.
  • Attending schools to assist with assemblies, presentations, and cheque collections.
  • Providing general admin or event support as required (e.g. helping with thank-you certificates, sponsorship tracking, or campaign logistics).

 

Personal qualities: 

  • Friendly, enthusiastic, and comfortable engaging with children and school staff.
  • Confident communicator, able to represent Teesside Hospice positively.
  •  Organised and reliable, with the ability to support campaign logistics.
  • A team player with a flexible, can-do attitude.
  • Passion for making a difference in the local community.
