Nepacs are looking for volunteers for Re:Settle in both the North West and the North East –
Re:Settle is an exciting new project helping people who have been convicted of sexual harm and their families create healthier relationships and supporting people on probation who have been convicted of sexual harm to gain confidence in their local community, hopefully reducing isolation and future victims. The prison based support will be in HMP Northumberland and HMP Holme House. The community support will be throughout the North East.
We have several opportunities to volunteer available, as per below:
Prison Volunteers – Working with people who have been convicted of sexual harm two weeks prior to release. Full prison clearance and training will be provided.
Community Volunteers – Working with people who have been convicted of sexual harm in the community, this is very similar to the current circles model and will run for two weeks per person
Phone Line volunteers – Phone line support to those convicted of sexual harm and their families, offering a listening ear two weeks pre and two weeks post release.
If you are interested in this volunteering opportunity please contact me on: cwatson@nepacs.co.uk

The requirements of volunteers would be to give a select amount of hours each week, either in custody or community or both to complete the work required on the contract. We also have a phone support helpline on Re:Settle which can be done remotley.
