We are looking for your help with multiple volunteer positions available, including:

Volunteer Receptionist 

Role Summary

To greet all visitors and callers in a polite, professional and courteous manner and carry out a range of reception tasks.

Hours / Shift

We will advise available shifts upon application. We are  looking to bolster our current volunteer receptionist numbers, fill any gaps in cover, and  provide some resilience to allow for ill health and holidays.

We would normally ask for you to be available for:

1 x shift : Morning (9am to 1pm) or afternoon (1pm to 5pm) Monday to Friday.

Please note that this role requires a D.B.S. (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance.  We will go through the process with you and cover any costs involved.

Location

Based at our hospice at Middlefield Road, Stockton-on-Tees. TS19 8XN

Reception – Middlefield Road, Stockton-on-Tees, TS19 8XN.

Role Summary

The role involves greeting visitors and callers in a polite, professional and courteous manner and carry out a range of reception tasks. There may also be some administration duties that we would ask you to help with from time to time.

You need to be able to take and re-direct calls, deal with visitors, advise departments of their arrival, and ensure they log-in and out of the premises as required.

Ability to answer calls and redirect to appropriate departments,  if you have some computer knowledge it would be great, but it is not a prerequisite for this role.

You will often be the initial  point of contact, either by telephone or as visitors to our organisation, so we are looking for calm, polite, professional and courteous people with a friendly demeanour to present a great first impression of the hospice.
