Mbro Mela is an annual multi cultural festival held in Albert Park on the 16th & 17th August 2025. It is a free family event consisting of Music, Dance, Street Food, Fun Fair, Inflatables and an International Stalls Bazaar. It attracts over 50,000 people over the weekend.
Volunteers who want to get involved in festival organisation and delivery. People who are polite and helpful, punctual and reliable, willing to pay attention in briefings and to follow policies and procedures. Physical fitness for moving furniture is useful but not essential.
*Hospitality Reps/Evaluation Officers – Guest facing role, providing support and assistance, particularly those with access needs, carry out event evaluation questionnaires.
*Stall Assistants – Will ensure all traders are located in correct pitches and are adhering to event policies and practices. Supporting traders
*Media Assistants (incl. Photographers, Videographers, Bloggers & loggers) – Will have own equipment to document stage performances and event in general.
*Get In & Get Out Assistants – must be physically fit to help set up the event site with furniture and décor and then help remove at end
*Hospitality Reps/Evaluation Officers – Sat 16th & 17th 2-7pm
*Stall Assistants – Sat 16th & Sun 17th 7am to 1pm, 12-7pm
*Media Assistants – Sat 16th & 17th 2-7pm
*Get In & Out Assistants – Fri 15th 9-5pm, Sat 16th 9-12pm, Sun 17th 6-11pm
