Heritage research volunteers

Description


Heritage research volunteers will volunteer to carry out project-based research to produce a collection of heritage information.

You will support us by transforming research into informative displays and online digital resources.

  • Research and collate High Street buildings’ information and existing building surveys for local heritage records and public display/ exhibitions.
  • ┬áCollate High Street buildings information and existing building surveys for local heritage records and public display.
  • Capture and present research information for activities, displays, social media and local press content for generating awareness and interest in the Project.
  • Be able and willing to act in accordance with all Stockton-on-Tees Brough Council’s policies and procedures.

  • Passionate about heritage and the history of Stockton.
  • Ability to carry out relevant research in response to Stockton people/ places/ themes.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with staff and other volunteers.

  • Reliable
  • Enthusiastic
  • Able to work unsupervised and use own initiative.

  • Volunteers are asked to be available to support on average 2 hours per week.
  • One off or short-term support may also be required.
  • Volunteers are asked to commit at least 3 months of volunteering.
  • Some one off or occasional roles may also be available.
