- Health Advocate
The Health Advocate will work with Actes Better Health at Work Advocates to plan, implement and evaluate a yearlong series of activities and campaigns aimed at improving the health and well-being of employees. This will contribute to Actes achieving the nationally recognised Better Health at Work gold award. The benefits of the award are to improve employee health and well-being, thereby reducing workplace absence rates and improving productivity.
The Advocate will be responsible for undertaking research into each campaign, for example to share awareness of a subject, signpost to information or support services, and to help plan and in-house activities. The role will therefore require good people skills, analytical, research and reporting skills along with confidence in communicating with others
The Advocate will be involved in activities such as canvassing staff about their Health Needs and interests, analysing data gathered to inform future plans, planning a series of campaigns / activities based on staff needs and evaluating the value of these. They will also contribute to the Better Health at Work portfolio.
