Group and Activity Support

  • To support groups and social activities to enable participation and increase wellbeing
  • Across Middlesbrough , Stockton on Tees and Redcar and Cleveland
  • Age UK Teesside

currently deliver a range of social groups across Middlesbrough, Stockton and
Redcar and Cleveland and require support in running and planning groups and
developing activities. There are
opportunities available in tea and chat type sessions, walk and talk groups and
activity sessions and well as opportunity to develop other specialist groups.


Support the team in delivery and development of groups and activities

Ensure accessibility for all and participation

Assist in full delivery of group, including set up and clear up

Adhere to relevant policies and procedures

Knowledge & Skills

Good communication skills and a can do approach is required

Volunteers must be able to inspire and motivate participants

Have some understanding of the issues faced by older people


Personal Qualities

Good communication skills and a passion for improving wellbeing

Good time keeping and good organizational skills are required

General Requirements

All volunteers are required to provide 2 references, undergo DBS check and attend an Induction training session
