Daisy Chain receives on average 1350 donations from its supporters each week. The volunteer(s) in this role will be the first point of contact for supporters wishing to donate items. You will be essential to ensuring customers have a pleasant experience when donating with us. Customer service is key here to support repeat donations to Daisy Chain.
This is an active role which includes lifting and moving of items, including furniture and bags of donations. Full training will be provided including: gift aid, manual handling, safeguarding and autism awareness
Greeting donors at Daisy Chain donation bay.
Supporting donors to make their donation quickly and efficiently
Advising donors which donations which can be accepted by Daisy Chain, whilst ensuring high quality, undamaged items are accepted.
Promote and raise awareness of gift aid, including signing up new donors and logging repeat donations.
Movement of donations in store, back of house, on/off delivery vans and placing on salesfloor.
Maintain a tidy donation station
Support with pricing donations.
Support serving customers during delivery of
Support the delivery of Daisy Chain‘s Health and Safety, Volunteer, GDPR and Data
Support shop staff and other volunteers during busy periods
