Description

Volunteers are needed to help support the hugely popular Eid Fusion Event at Ropner Park on Sunday 16th July.

This event brings together communities from all ethnicities, religions and cultures for a large celebration. The event features food stalls, craft areas, music, inflatables  and fairground attractions. The theme this year is The Environment so many stalls will be specific to the theme.

Community

Volunteers will help in a variety ways including:

  • Providing a warm welcome to the event to visitors.
  • Walking aorund the event, looking out for any issues and reporting concerns to event marshals.
  • Helping to support stall holders eg: giving out water in hot weather.
  • Assisting with set up and clear up of stalls and activities as needed.

No prior knowledge or skills are needed, just the desire to help support a community event to run smoothly.

Volunteers will need to demonstrate:

  • A friendly and welcoming attitude.
  • Good communication skills.
  • A pro-active approach and the ability to work on their own initiative.
  • A commitment to embracing people from all backgrounds and cultures and treating them equally.

It is proposed that volunteers help for one of the following shifts:

 

11.00am-3pm- to include helping with set up as needed.

2pm-6pm- to include helping with packing up and clearing away as needed.
