This Good Neighbour volunteer role is to help get items to those who are unable to leave their house. To collect shopping, prescriptions and food parcels and deliver to customers direct, please note the volunteer does not enter the dwelling.

To receive requests from the Community Hub Manager.
To collect shopping, prescriptions and food parcels and deliver to customers (The volunteer is not to enter the dwelling).
To answer queries residents may have about the service.
To work closely with other volunteers.
To be friendly, informative and helpful.
To act in accordance with Catalyst Health & Safety (H&S) procedures, including special Covid-19 measures.
The ability to communicate effectively wide a wide range of people.
Open and keen attitude, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
The ability to build relationships with staff, customers and other volunteers.
Use of a mobile telephone.
Full driving licence and access to a car, bicycle or willingness to deliver on foot.

Deliveries are generally made between 1.00 pm and 5.00 pm Monday to Friday.
Occasional deliveries are made on an evening or weekend and any volunteers willing to deliver at these times are welcomed.
