To work as part of the covid Community Hub volunteer team, delivering shopping and prescriptions to people in their homes. 


Customer service




To receive
requests from Community Hub Manager

To collect
shopping and prescriptions and deliver to customers. (The volunteer is not to
enter a dwelling).

To answer any
questions that residents have about the service.

To work closely
with other volunteers.

To be friendly,
informative and helpful.

Be able to act in accordance with Catalyst health
& safety procedures including specific Covid related measures.

Knowledge & Skills

Skills required

Ability to communicate effectively with a wide audience.

Open and keen attitude with a willingness to
learn and develop new skills.

Ability to build strong working relationships with staff, customers and
other volunteers.

Use of a mobile phone.

Full driving license and access to a car or bike or a willingness to
deliver on foot if required.

Personal Qualities

Open and keen attitude. 

Desire to help others.

Ability to empathise and willingness to provide support. 

General Requirements

Deliveries are generally made between 1pm-5pm Monday to Friday. 

Occasional deliveries are requested on an evening or weekend and any volunteers willing to deliver at these times are welcome..
