Garden Volunteer

Description

The building has a small garden area to the front which has been neglected in recent years and fallen into disrepair. Work started in late 2021 to clear the space and start the process of turning to garden into a community space. Groups of volunteers have already cleared and dug over the ground and we are ready to move to the next phase of turning it into a useful and beautiful space which will enhance the building and the community.

Volunteers are needed to help move us onto the next phase of the Project and get involved in the further development of the space. Volunteers will help with setting up planters, picnic benches and other areas and get stuck in with shovelling and digging! Once the garden is completed, we will need volunteers to help with regular tasks, including weeding, watering and keeping the plants healthy and the space looking great.

  • Preparing planters, planting seeds etc.
  • Watering and feeding plants
  • Trimming shrubs
  • Fertilizing, and weeding garden
  • Keeping walkways clear of debris and litter.

  • A love of the outdoors and gardening
  • Passionate about the environment
  • A willingness to get stuck in with manual tasks, whatever the weather!
