Description

As a children’s outdoor workshop assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance during various outdoor activities for children aged 5 to 11. These workshops include fun educational activities such as seed potting, arts and crafts, bug hunting and many more nature-inspired adventures. Your presence will ensure each child has a safe, enjoyable experience whilst fostering a love for the outdoors and creativity.

Sport & Active Life

  • Assist in the preparation and set up of workshop activities and materials.
  • Support children in participating in various activities, ensuring their safety and engagement.
  • Guide children through activities like seed potting, arts and crafts, and bug hunting, providing instructions and encouragement.
  • Help maintain a clean and organised workshop environment.
  • Collaborate with other volunteers and staff to ensure the smooth running of the workshop.

  • Basic understanding of child development and age-appropriate activities.
  • Familiarity with outdoor and nature-related activities, including gardening and bug identification.
  • Creative skills for arts & crafts projects
  • Strong communication skills to engage with children, parents, and other volunteers.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines.

  • Must be aged 18+
  • Must be available to commit during school holidays
  • Available on Friday 2nd and 16th August between 10-2pm
