Creative Champion Volunteers Required

Currently looking for Creative Champions.. can you help us make a difference to the lives of older people with dementia or neurological conditions, their carers and families too.

Department

A mix of admin, training, outreach, client liaising etc.

Responsibilities

Meeting clients on a weekly basis to help them access the
arts, culture and/or heritage activities. 

To ensure the client/s attend the activities, enjoy the
experience and does so in a safe manner. 

Help to build clients confidence and self-esteem. 

To keep a good record of your work and filling out the
various documentation required by Unforgettable
Experiences. 

Adhere to Unforgettable Experiences policies and
procedures at all times especially with regard to
safeguarding vulnerable people and the code of conduct. 

To attend Induction and training programs set out by
Unforgettable Experiences.

Knowledge & Skills

Have a passion for the arts, sports, culture and/or heritage as
well as a desire to share this enthusiasm. 

Have worked / understand the needs of a diverse community. 

Be an excellent listener, empathetic, caring, patient, reliable
and respectful of confidential information / data. 

Must be over the age of 18 years. 

Have a positive attitude and remains calm in challenging
situations. 

Good verbal and written communication skills. 

A commitment to equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory
practices. 

Be approachable, mindful, non-judgmental, a good sense of
humour and the ability to engage with the older generation. 

To work in a team, supporting one another to achieve our
mission.

Personal Qualities

As above but basically digital skills, communication, time management, patience and a passion for health and social care, the arts and culture.

General Requirements

Training, DBS checks, minimum of a few hours per week.
