We are looking for energetic “Beat the Street” volunteer Ambassadors to join our team!
Beat the Street (BtS) is an
exciting mass participation behaviour change programme which transforms
activity levels and improves mental and physical well-being across a community.
Beat the Street turns towns into giant games. Earn points, win prizes and
discover more about your area by walking, running and cycling. All the
participants need to do is pick up a Beat the Street card and swipe Beat Boxes
across the community within Stockton on Tees.
The Beat the Street game takes
place over a 6-week period across the entire Borough. Using game cards, were adults
and children tap card readers placed on street furniture to get points for
journeys. The game is displayed on a website where leaderboards contain school,
workplace and community teams all on a journey together.

Responsibilities
As a BtS Ambassador you will be
part of this exciting mass game helping to promote the event. We are looking
for enthusiastic individuals, with a passion to inspire others to get involved and
stay active. With your energy and enthusiasm,
you’ll love talking to members of the public and engaging communities to
encourage people to take part individually or as part of a family/group.
Your proactive attitude and support
will help us ensure this exciting project is as successful as possible by
engaging communities to make a real impact.
This voluntary position will
involve you spreading the word by attending some of our activities, as well as
promoting the initiative and game within your networks to a wide an audience as
possible.

General Requirements
The BtS event goes live in Stockton on Tees from Wednesday
2nd March 2022 until Wednesday 13th April 2022. It is a very flexible role so you can choose how much time you can spare in this exciting new event
Under 18's must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
