Active community volunteering – Ride leader (Stockton)

Leading group cycle rides in your community is a great way to get more people active. We would like more people to enjoy the freedom that cycling can bring. There are also the added health and wellbeing benefits of being active on everyday journeys.

We make sure that any rides in Stockton-on-Tees are organised to suit the ability of the group joining. We do not run rides in extremely remote locations or on challenging trails.

Doing these activities, you will:

  • help organise cycle rides in Stockton-on-Tees as part of the Stockton Active Travel Hub.
  • lead the group cycle ride (controlling direction and speed of the ride from front)
  • sometimes, be in the back of the group to make no one is left behind.

You will get training and support to get started on leading your local cycle rides.

Does this sound like you?
