I initially applied to A Way Out after graduating from university to explore different career paths. My aim was to gain an insight into the working environment I had previously shown an interest in throughout my degree, and ultimately decide if I would like to pursue a career in this field.

View StoryI am 65 years old and have been an RVS Volunteer for over 5 years now. A few days after my 60th birthday my husband passed away with Cancer. I was devastated, having been with him since I was 16 years old. I knew life had to go on and a few months later I joined Royal Voluntary Service (RVS) as a volunteer.

View StoryI have found the volunteering at Catalyst very rewarding. I have gained new skills such as setting up databases and using a switchboard as well as using my existing skills and knowledge in admin.

View StoryI love volunteering. It helps to give me a sense of purpose. It allows me to be around, and learn from, some great people; and it enables me to pursue and be involved in something that I have a great passion for.
