On Wednesday 5th December from 10am – 2pm Daisy Chain are going to be holding a volunteering taster session for people who are interested volunteering but would like to ‘try before they buy’.
During this session, we will explain about some of the work that Daisy Chain do and allow them to experience first hand volunteering at the superstore. There will be no expectation that people will commit to more regular volunteering (although there will be an option if they would like).
We know that people volunteer for many different reasons, and some people maybe want to volunteer but just don’t know where to start. This could help point them in the right direction.
Volunteers play a massive part in the success of Daisy Chain and we would have achieved what we have without them.
Should people sign up to become a volunteer, we will make the following commitment to them:
Offer them regular opportunities to meet with the volunteer department to discuss any issues that they may have
Ensure that they are not left out of pocket as a result of volunteering by paying travel expenses at the HMRC recommended levels
Provide them with all relevant training (Including autism specific information)
Provide uniforms and any PPE that may be required
10% discount on items bought from the superstore
Discounts on items bought from our coffee shop
and so much more.
If you know anyone that may be interested, or if you are interested in joining in please feel free to contact us on 01642 531248 or email email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Spaces are limited to start with so booking will be essential however, additional dates may be added in the future.
